August 25th - Shakespeare in the Park

James Andreassi and Marianna Bassham in Macbeth (from elmshakepeare.org)
We hope you can take advantage of this opportunity to see a well-directed play (Macbeth) in a beautiful setting (New Haven's Edgerton Park) and socialize with fellow Tigers. Also, the Carters have offered to serve beer and wine at their home at 100 Edgehill Road in New Haven to give everyone a chance to get together, then we'll walk over to the park (a block away).

Time:Pre-Party 6-7:15pm, Macbeth at 8pm
Date:Saturday, August 25th
Place:Pre-Party at 100 Edgehill Road, New Haven (map below); Macbeth in Edgerton Park (one block northeast)
Cost:Performances are free with a suggested (but completely voluntary) donation of $20 adults, $10 students, and $5 children.
Please bring an appetizer to share if attending the pre-party. You should also consider bringing bug spray, folding chairs/blankets, and a picnic/wine/snacks for the performance.

Please reply to Gilles Carter '80 (gillescarter@yahoo.com; 917-612-4334) if you are able to attend and/or want us to hold a space for you (Good seating can be limited! Also, head counts are very helpful, but come anyway if you can't decide until the last minute.)
