August 24th - Shakespeare in the Park

Come socialize with fellow Tigers and see a well-directed play (Julius Caesar) in the beautiful setting of New Haven's Edgerton Park! We will enjoy beer and wine at the Carters' home (100 Edgehill Road; map) to give everyone a chance to get together, then we'll walk over to the park (a block away).

Come to the Carters' at 6:00pm (or later) and bring an appetizer to share (optional but appreciated!). We will head to the park at 7:15pm, and set-up some orange balloons near the stage in Edgerton Park for the 8:00pm performance. Good seating is limited; RSVP to Gilles Carter (gillescarter@yahoo.com or 917-612-4334) ASAP if you'd like us to hold a space for you. You may consider bringing folding chairs or blankets, a picnic snack and wine for the performance, a jacket, and bug spray.

Performances are free. There is a suggested (but completely voluntary) donation to the Elm City Shakespeare Company of $20 for adults, $10 for students, and $5 for children.
